 Tim is an innovator, a team leader and a business builder.  He thrives on complexity,  joining the dots and plotting a path forwards.  He constantly draws on his experiences in engineering, data, technology, finance and banking.  Through his career he has led small and large teams - turning them into highly motivated and high performing organizations.    ​

Tim has a wide network built upon his 30+ years career in capital markets - as a  Managing Director at UBS, and in data and technology - leading innovation teams at Thomson Reuters and the design and build out of Refinitiv Labs (now LSEG Labs).  In his last role at IEX,  Tim led the firm's nascent data business during COVID - doubling the team, and tripling revenues and subscribers.

Tim is primarily focused on the fintech ecosystem, and has developed experience and theses across various technical domains including cloud computing, AI and machine learning, blockchain and crypto, knowledge graphs and big data.

Tim is an advocate for open data, having been the driving force behind the establishment of PermID.org while running the innovation function at Thomson Reuters / Refinitiv (now LSEG).  

 Our clients are primarily in the Fintech space, and range from large multi billion dollar enterprises, to early stage startups and scaleups.

The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) retained us to help develop a business plan for a new  enterprise data offering.  

We are working with Houston based Expero Inc - a boutique software, engineering and consulting company - on development of a their financial services practice and product offering.

We have been retained by BMLL Technologies, a UK based market data firm specializing in Level 3 market data.  We are providing input into the go to market plan for entry into the US, advice and introductions for B-round funding as well as business development and marketing activities.

Tim Baker has also been appointed to various boards, and is currently on the advisory board of ModuleQ, a silicon valley startup focused on AI and ML assisted workflow tools built on top of Teams.
